I attempted to have some "school" time and teach the girls about the letter A and the color red. They know these things, mostly, but I though it'd be a good place to start. I had upper and lower case sheets printed out with visions of red colored letter "A" hanging on my wall after our "lesson". As I gathered the girls together to teach them,t hey were wide eyed and excited, then I opened my mouth and reality set in. upper case? lower case? What was I thinking? We were good to understand "A". Then the color red. I had an apple to show them and then "drew" an Ant, an Airplane, etc... When I brought out the apple they were both amazed. Emery then started saying "Snack! Snack!" I then interjected "no, not right now Em, just wait a minute" Then I drew the Ant. Bella was about to come out of her seat as she looked over to where I got the apple from and ask me "Do you have one of those in there too?!!!" I followed that with "No, honey." "Do you have a pretend one over there?" (Yep. Disappointment.)
I went to school for Finance, not teaching.
There is much glory for God to be had when it comes to teaching because I am definitely weak!
