Em turns 2!

It's been awhile since I blogged, but hey, my baby girl turned 2. I can't believe it's been 2 years already. We got together with Gana, Pop and Tyler one night and then the next night we had a few people over for some Dora cake! It was fun to celebrate with my friend and her little girl who is the same age as Em. They were funny dancing around together. It's tough when your child's b-day is in the winter and everywhere wants to charge you $200 to have a small indoor party. So we decided to bring the outdoors in by bringing the outdoor inflatable jumping thing into our home. It was funny b/c it fills up an entire room with just enough room to get in and out and now the girls do not want me to take it out! They wear themselves out in that things and since I haven't had one night of trouble with bedtimes since it's been here, I don't mind it taking up so much room after all.

I've been trying to think about this past year and how much Emery has changed. She has emerged as our strong-willed child and yet she has such a kind heart toward others.(just don't challenge her or she'll come at you like a spider monkey..just kidding.. kind of) I love how she likes to cuddle now, even if it's for just a moment. It is so fun t o watch her sing and dance. Music just captivates her. She has amazing rhythm and ability to copy sounds and dance moves. She is very secure in who she is and I often find Emery leading Bella when they are playing around the house. I guess since her name means leader she is just living up to her name.
When we were at Gana and Pop's house eating dinner Emery stood up in her chair and sang Amazing Grace and then Jesus Loves Me all by herself. Every time she finished we'd all clap and her eyes lit up with excitement. I love to see that look on her face! She is wonderful and I am so thankful for the gift she is!

Happy Birthday Emery!

It seems like so long since we have seen her.

We are doing well, loving our son, and overwhelmed by the joy of having our sweet little family.

Love to all of you,
missy
