O.k. this is where sometimes I just have to sit back and laugh. Today has so far been exhausting. Let me give you a little background. I have a small red bible that Bella loves to get her hands on whenever the opportunity arises. We were over at my sister's the other day and she had a little green bible that has the NT and Psalms in it. Bella held it the whole time we were there and when we left she asked if she could take it. My sister said she could have it. Bella's eyes lit up and she was thrilled. Since then the only time she has put it down was when she lost it temporarily. Up until that point it had traveled everywhere with us including a restaurant where she jumped up into the booth and plopped down her bible on the table right in front of our waitress. I was waiting for her to say, "Do you know who Jesus is?", but she just smiled politely at the waitress instead. Jamie and i just laughed. She just got a new nickname, "Thumper". She misplaced her bible Sunday morning before church, truly a sad moment for her. She was so excited to take her bible to church. Thankfully, we found it today and yes it went with us to the grocery store.
We usually opt for the little race car grocery carts, and did so today. Well, they did great for the first aisle, then it was leaning hard on each other. Side to side they went till finally they both were angry and fussing. I told Bella to be nice to her sister and so she proceeded to hug her over and over and over again very tightly. "Stop Bella..Love you sister gently" I said with authority. Emery is not innocent in fact she was leaning hard onto Bella all the while. I told her to stop and she would, then Bella would "hug" her again. We get to check out and I look down and it looks like Bella is kissing Em on the face. I said " Bella..leave her alone, she needs a break" She replied, "But she bit me first." What??? I look closer and Em had bitten Bella on the back and Bella had responded with 2 bites to Em's arm and was apparently going for Em's face next. Are you kidding me?
O.k, we are off to the car with "you just wait till we get to where I can talk to you" in my tone of voice. Pull up to the car and Bella screams out. You guessed it, Em went for one last bite. This child is not easily deterred. Put them both in the car and have some serious discussion and discipline about biting. Then Bella asks , "Mommy, can I have my Bible now? "
I think our grocery shopping logistics may need to change for awhile.

At least its never boring, Right?
WOW ... sounds like you had a really tough day! I hope that you are able to break them quickly ... my way ahs always been to bite them back and let them see how badly it hurts. It appears that might not work for them after they went back and forth so much today. I will add this to my prayers for them and ya'll!
Love Ya ... hang in there! Grammy
I know it's not really funny, but I couldn't help but laugh. My brother was a biter and I can still remember one particular incident where he took a chunk of my back!
Just think someday perhaps they'll giggle too thinking about it.
I'd love to see some pictures of the house :) We need to call and catch up soon. We are doing well. 19 weeks tomorrow.
love,
missy
