Preschool

Bella’s first day of Preschool! Oh the fun! As she sat in the car wanting to hear “Here comes the Sun…Little Darling” by the Beatles over and over and over 2 nights ago, I couldn’t help but enjoy the moment and think about her starting preschool the next morning. She was so ready and kept saying she was getting ready to be so excited! So off we went this morning. She didn’t bat an eye when I dropped her off. After she insisted all her teachers see her horsey backpack, off she went and didn’t look back. That’s my B. She finger-painted a picture of our family that I can't wait to frame, they went for a walk outside and when we picked her up she looked exhausted. She slept a good 3 hrs for nap that day! We are excited that she has this opportunity b/c she is eating it up! There will be a music class and either Spanish or science on the other day. She will love it!

Emery’s Day at Preschool!
Emery went to preschool today too and really enjoyed it. She loves being a big girl! She was so wiped out she fell asleep before we could get out of the parking lot! I think we might keep her home till she is 2 though. We are just trying it out this week. It is such a struggle to know what to do. Everyone has to figure out what God wants for his or her family and we are in that part of decision-making with Emery right now. It would be good for her to have some time one on one with me and when she turns 2 she would be in the class with Bella. This would be a much better environment b/c there will be more to learn for her and she loves learning and figuring things out. Besides she’d be in the same room with Bella and she loves her sister. In fact, today when we picked them up, Emery pointed to Bella and said “sis” wanting me to put her down so she could run over to Bella and hug her. The pic of Em is when she really got into using her spoon last week!

I came home while they were in "school" and didn’t know what to do with myself. I actually had more than a 15-minute block of time to get stuff done! Where should I start? I can think in complete thoughts, I can make a plan and stick to it, how do I do that again? All the while thinking about is this the right thing to do for Emery? I called Jamie and after a minute of chatting he said” You are really affected by all this, huh?” Later he called me and said, “You want to meet me for lunch?” I guess I’m a little overwhelmed by it all. It will all be fine I know, but I just want to be at peace about it all, knowing we have our priorities ordered in a way that will line up with God. Because He does know best and I am trusting Him! That's all for now, but have a great week and I hope to post more to catch up on what all has been going on in our world soon!

Sounds like things are going well! I'm sorry I haven't called back yet, we've been in MI again and this is Ryan's first week back as well so it's been quite busy. I'll be in touch soon. I'm looking forward to hearing more about how you are all doing :)

Jennifer, I remember Jamie's first days every year and they are all very emotional (or were for me). I can't begin to imagine the emotion of 2 going for the first time at once =)
I know GOD will guide you and Jamie on his will for Emery (remember Bella told us how she learned on Sunday ... GOD's will is PERFECT!) I feel that Emery could benefit a lot from the alone time with you ... but I also understand how helpful that time could be for your sewing and business starting up too. My prayers are for you to know God's will and help you to find peace and blessings in whatever his will is for all of you! Love you!

I am glad that you and Jamie got to have lunch.
We had so much fun the other day out on the boat and I really enjoyed the time the night before hanging out and talking with you and Jamie! Thanks =)Lori
