Well, just finished a homemade German Chocolate cake and we'll be leaving in a hour or so to visit some family for the holidays. Hope this cake makes it, it is struggling as is. After a mini-meltdown yesterday things are going rather soothly. Some times things get too tough to handle and you are sitting there reminding God how He promised not to give you more than you could handle. Thankfully my husband was patience and wise enough to handle the craziness when I was not able to. Today Bella helped me make the cake, my sis came to get the girls for baking cookies while I packed (still in progress) for me and the girls, got ready, and racked my brain to see if I was forgetting something. Ahhh the complexities of holidays as an adult. Such joy and work, but I am looking forward to some time with family. Not to mntion one of my most favorite hobbies...eating really good food! That's a whole different blog. One last note, Emery went to preschool yesterday and LOVED it. Totally different child than 3 months ago.
There is so much to be thankful for and I am going to try to reflect on the many blessings in my life and thank God for His goodness, especially when I don't deserve it!

Sorry things have been so tough for you lately. I can relate and totally understand ... it is hard with two little girls, at their ages, and stay in control and calm! They are awesome girls but they are young little ones all the same.As fast as you get one ready the other one has undone all that you just worked so hard to complete. I am glad that Jamie has so much patience and could help out.
Hope you all have a very blessed and Happy Thanksgiving! Love to you all, Mama #2 =)
