Jump In!

Romans 12:11 "Never lag in zeal and in earnest endeavor; be aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord."

This morning I came across this verse and it showed the relationship between our zeal and burning with the Spirit and serving. So to me it says, "If you have lost your zeal, go serve Me. If you want to keep your fire/zeal keep serving Me."

My next thought was how or where?
I mean, don't I serve you in my everyday life?
Matthew 13:44 says, "The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field."

The thing that stands out to me about this passage is that he went to where God was instead of asking God to come move where he was.

A friend of ours once said,"Walking with God is like a river. Just jump in and His current will carry you to where you need to be." The worst thing we can do is stand on the bank worried we might mess up.

So, if you're like me and have struggled with losing your zeal, look for where God is moving and serve Him there.
