The Christmas Program

Yesterday was Bella’s Christmas program. She did great and was so excited to see Emery and us there. She kept waving to Emery and left the stage at one point to give Emery something to hold. She stood at the edge of the stage closest to one of the mics and kept looking at it. You could see it calling to her. She kept wanting to lean down and sing into it soooo bad. It was so cute. All her teachers kept saying how sweet she was and how she was always very concerned with others. I am so thankful for such a sweet daughter.

Later that day we got to watch The Polar Express. This is the first time our girls have seen a movie on the big screen. Emery was amazed and sat motionless in m
y lap till the part where they enter the North Pole and that required standing in awe. All the while saying "oh no..oh no..gasp...". Bella enjoyed it tremendously too. She was the picture of childhood wonder as she was so into it that when Santa appeared she jumped up and shouted "SANTA!!!" everyone turned around and laughed. We ended the day making a gingerbread house. Turns out it wasn't very decorated as Emery was eating the decorations faster than the rest of us could get them on the house. Bella loved it except she was frustrated that the gingerbread men couldn't go into the house. It was a great day!
