A Page has Turned!

We have started a new chapter called Potty Training & Talking! First about potty training, we have spent the last 2 weeks in pullups. The first week Bella "shooee-ed" like a champ in our big potty, but wasn't sure about how to tell she was "tee teeing" until it happened. The second week she did amazingly better. Then we had a day this past week where she became almost defiant about using the big potty and regressed a little. So, we decided to have a panty party Friday since Jamie was home. We told Bella it was her special day and she was going to get to go pick out her panties, her potty, and her prizes. So we all got ready and went to the store. She was so excited to pick out her princess panties, especially the ones with Flounder and Ariel. (Flounder is the superstar, but Ariel is a close 2nd, even though she hasn't even seen the movie) We came home, spread the panties out all over the floor and she began the difficult task of choosing which one pair would she wear. It was so fun to see her get so excited, she was giddy and she danced around the room and over the next hour she tee-teed in her potty at least 10 times, no kidding. Each time she uses her potty and keeps her panties dry she get a prize, which is always a yellow starburst. So, she was hopped up on some lemon starbursts and we were like "..ha..ha..ha...yeah!!!"(what have we done!) We are so proud of her because over the past 2 days she has had no accidents and she is so proud of herself!!! We were even gone all day today and she did great! She loves her potty that has a frog sticker on it too, she even made me take a picture of it! One last bathroom funny for you all, just tonight while she was shooee-ing she said, "Look mommy it looks like a turtle" Jamie and I did our best to keep our composure.

On to talking...Emery is starting to talk more. Everyday is a new word and/or animal noise. So far we have deciphered, Beya aka Bella (I think she's practicing her spanish), book, nose (which always includes sticking her finger you know where), dog, ki cat, and cow.
She is loving her some books right now, especially ones we can do animal noises with or has the touch and feel pages. She has such a sweet personality and is getting more and more cuddly lately. At night when I kiss her goodnight she points to me where I say"Mommy loves..." and then she points to herself and waits for me to say "...Emery!" then she smiles and slightly laughs contently and gets that all over excitement then cuddles close like "o.k. now I'm ready to sleep" I am eating this up b/c its a tradition that she made up and is keeping all on her own.

So, that's an update with the girls. We are doing well, just praying for our house to sell and enjoying like with our girls. Jamie is doing great and we love his job and the people he works with. Both are such a blessing. We are looking forward to going on vacation. My family extended a gracious offer to us and we are blessed to be so loved. I am making baby quilts now. I'm about to finish 4, 2 boy and 2 girl ones. I am trying to find out about places I could sell them. I hope to get some pictures up soon. I really enjoy picking out all the fabrics and seeing it all come together. I hope to write more soon, but for now I am signing off. Happy Mother's Day to all you mommies young and not so young! You really deserve more than a day!
